Hello Rapids!

Our first NVSL A-Meet is upon us this Saturday, June 17th.  Please find attached 2 files:

• A  participation listing by swimmer who has been selected to swim in the meet and what events
• The heat sheet for Saturday's meet.

For swimmers attending the meet, the address is 9321 Old Mt Vernon Rd, Alexandria, VA 22309. Please arrive no later than 8:10. Preferably 8:00.  Warmups start at 8:25.  (This is also in Swimtopia)

A Few Notes about A-Meets:

• We were light on swimmers this week and have a lot of empty lanes.  We asked the coaches to wait until Wednesday Afternoon to set the lineup so we could make sure availability was as complete as possible. The good news:  almost everybody declared availability, either "yay" or "nay" which made the coach's jobs much easier. We didn't have to chase people down!  We know this is a new process for everybody using Swimtopia, and a HUGE Thank You to everybody who declared availability. 
• We're so sorry the supplier goofed on our team suits. We're 100% not doing suits this way again next year.  If you don't have a new team suit yet and are swimming in the A-Meet, if you can wear last year's suit, please do so.  If you don't have a suit from last year, please wear any practice/racing suit.  )More below on suits.)
• Unlike in year's past, we're not planning on sending a "confirmed swimmer" list on Wednesdays.  We will send a reminder to check availability on Tuesday's, so please go into the app or website and confirm you're availability is set properly so we give the coach's the most accurate information.  Coach's and Team Reps can see availability for the entire team at all times through Swimtopia.  
• The coaches use the ladder, meet results and what they observe in practice to set the meet lineup.  
• Per the standards of our division, we will be coordinating with our opponent between 4:00pm and 9:00pm on Thursday nights to confirm the lineups and heat sheet and exchange data.  We will send out participation roster and heat sheet after the data is exchanged and the meet is finalized.  (This is Shaq speaking) I am going to try and get this out by 8:00pm on Thursdays. I went back and looked, that plan is basically the same as the past.  Today I had some unexpected things come up and I was away from computers for most of the evening, so it's out a little later than planned. Sorry about that.  

Suit Update: The rest of the first order of suits came in today!  Mandy is going to have them at the pool during the pool party tomorrow. Order 2 should ship tomorrow.  If you emailed us about wanting a suit and you hadn't ordered yet, we got it and will be in touch early next week.  Also, if you ordered a customized swim cap, we'll have those as well. 

Hoodies:  We're placing the order early next week.  Go to The Team Store and order your hoodie!
