Who can join the Rapids?
Swimming or Diving on the Great Falls Rapids is made available to all active members of the Great Falls Swim and Tennis club. Athletes must be between 3 and 18 years old. If you are not a member, please check out the Great Falls Swim and Tennis Membership Information Page for how to join the wait list.
Registration Fees
Rapids Swim Team, Dive Team - $230 per swimmer/diver
Mini Rapids - $210 per swimmer
Swimtopia handles up to 6 registered athletes. If you are registering more than 6 athletes, please email [email protected].
Registration Information - Dive Team
If your child has an interest in diving, please encourage him or her to join the dive team! No experience necessary! Our great coaches will teach your child new skills while they make new friends and have more fun in the pool! Children aged 5-18 are welcome to join if they can jump off the board comfortably and pass the swimming test administered by the lifeguard staff.
Our practice times are set to coordinate as closely as possible with the swim team schedule so kids can participate on both teams!
For more information, including Team Reps, Practice and Meet schedule, and coaching information about Dive Team, please check out the Dive Team pages on Swimtopia. (Just look up at the top ribbon and find all the Dive information you need.)
Registration Information - Swim Team
Registration will open for the 2025 season in mid March.
To qualify for the Great Falls Rapids swim team, we require swimmers to be able to swim a full length of the pool comfortably and confidently. If swimmers are interested in joining the Rapids swim team but do not meet this requirement, please register for the Mini-Rapids.
If you are unsure about whether your child should be on the main team or a mini, because they are "on the cusp", please register your child as a Mini, and then send a note to [email protected]. The Team Reps will work with you and the coaches to make sure your swimmer is in the right place to have a great experience.
Important note: There is a place for everybody! The Rapids want every swimmer to participate in a practice at their level, not feel overwhelmed OR that practice is too easy. If you believe your child is mis-placed, please talk to either our Head Coach Dylan, Coach Jason or one of the team reps.

For and in consideration of benefits derived from participation in the Great Falls Swim/Dive Team program, I understand that the risk of injury to my child from the activities involved in these programs is significant, including the potential for permanent disability and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist.
