Hello Rapids!

Thank you to everybody who swam in our first NVLS A Meet this morning at Mansion House.  We had a lot of great swims and a whopping 46! best times.  Please find attached the meet results and the updated Rapids Ladder.

We're trying the Swimtopia version of the ladder this week.  It looks a little different but has all the same information.  The reason we're switching it up is also has the meet the best time was achieved, so you can easily identify best times at the last meet by looking at the ladder.  

Other Notes:

• Morning Practices start on MONDAY! Please see the Practice Schedule. We have an afternoon practice for those who cannot make the morning practice as an alternative option.
• Important scheduling note: There IS a Monday Morning practice the day of B-meets.  However there is not an afternoon practice for either the regular team or the Mini's on Monday's.  
• B-meet availability and event selection is open for Monday Night.  (This is Shaq) I made a goof when I set up the meet which wouldn't allow you to sign up for specific strokes.  That's been fixed. If you previously said you were attending but couldn't pick strokes, you can go in and do that now. I fixed all the B-meets and intrasquad so that shouldn't be a problem going forward.  Sorry for the inconvenience.  
• Reminder of the B-Meet Entry Rules:  A swimmer can choose 2 "regular" events + the IM.  You may NOT swim 3 "regular" events.  Example: Free + Back + IM = ok while Free + Back + Fly is not a legal entry.  Also, a swimmer may not swim a stroke in a B-Meet where they placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the previous A-meet. The team reps and the coaches have to check this, please make our lives easier by adhering to the the B-Meet entry rules.
• We still need a lot of volunteers for Monday Night.  Please sign up!
• For Mini's the team reps and coaches will contact Mini families with practice times on Sunday.
• Last call for Hoodies!  Go to the Team Store and order your Rapids 2023 hoody
• Please look ahead and declare your availability and volunteering for next week's Home A-Meet against Truro.
• The coaches start setting the lineup on Wednesday, so getting the availability in is really helpful.
