Hi Rapids Families,

We hope all of you had a great and relaxing rest of the summer and are settled with school and fall schedules. We want to thank each and every one of you for all of your help, hard work and dedication to making this past summer Rapids season a great one. We had so many great things happen for our athletes. We hope you all had a great time and are already looking forward to next summer!

We have one more event this year: The Rapids are going to Capitals for the Caps Swim Team Night! The game is Friday October 29^th at 5:00pm at CapitalOne Arena. Each ticket gets a Caps swim cap. All Rapids swimmers must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $50 each. Please sign into Swimtopia and buy tickets by clickingHERE. We will buy tickets and get them to you before the game. NOTE: There are no planned changes to the practice schedule from this year. Practices will be held at the same times as last year.

A few VERY Forward looking “Save the Dates”

• We are tentatively scheduling our Rapids Kick off meeting for 5/15/24 in the evening on the Green Beach at GFST. Last year’s meeting was one of the highlights of the season, with so many reunions and reconnections. Mark it down now!
• We are doing a Suit Event on 5/22/24. The team from Sport Fair will be on-site, and you can try on your suit and purchase it at that time. If we add a customization, they’ll customize it on the spot! This is going to make the team suits a whole lot easier than in years past. If you miss the Suit Event, you will be able to go to Sports Fair in Arlington to buy a suit. Mark it on your calendar now!
