Hi Rapids Families-

We are celebrating the 2024 Olympics with a special Monday Meet - 7/8/24. Typically on this date, we would have a B meet with another team but due to scheduling conflicts - we are going a different direction. Welcome to the Rapids Olympics!

We will run this “meet” like a normal B meet so we need you to pick events in Swimtopia as usual - by 8pm on Sunday evening. The kids will have their opportunity to swim 2 events to better their time on the ladder if they want to, not required though, just like normal. Please note, they will still have an opportunity to swim in our final intrasquad on 7/15/24 to finalize their spot on the ladder for Divisionals. While you are in Swimtopia - please sign up to help volunteer for the meet as well. We need all hands on deck as there won’t be another club to split volunteer opportunities with like usual. The meet will begin at the normal 6 PM time which means arrive at 5 PM for 5:25 warm-ups.

After official swims are complete, the Olympic fun begins! Relays will be run by Coaches Dylan and Jason, and will include some or all of the following:
8U vs 15-18 relay, Mixed gender relay, Mixed age relay, Coach/swimmer relay, Parent relay, Family/Sibling relay, T-Shirt or pool noodle relay. Relay participants will have a chance to win gold, silver and bronze medals at our special podium ceremony at the conclusion of the evening. We hope to conclude around 8:00 or 8:30 like a normal B Meet. PLEASE JOIN US for this fun fellowship opportunity. Parents, COME PREPARED. Bring goggles, swimsuits, towels for yourselves so you can participate in the relays. All, COME HUNGRY. We will be featuring two of our new concessions partners, chicken tenders from the new owners of BRX and greek offerings from Thelo Greek in honor of our Olympic night - chicken skewers, hummus, tzatziki & pita! We hope this can be a fun and memorable event for all.
