Hello Rapid Families! Today is the first day of Rapids Swim Team Practices. Please note that the practice times are:

5:00-5:45 pm — ages 8 and under

5:45-6:45 pm — ages 9 to 12

6:45-7:45 pm — ages 13 and over

*Mini’s - no practice tonight but be on the lookout for the splash around and evaluation schedule.

A few additional notes:

- Make sure you have downloaded the Swimtopia App on your phone and allowed notifications. This is how we will communicate important alerts around practices and weather related issues.

- Please try and come to the practice for your age group. If you need to swim in a practice for a different age group, please have your swimmer talk to Coach Dylan first.

- The first day of practice is chaotic. Please be patient with the team reps and the coaches.

- Come early! All the swimmers will have a chance to color and customize a swim cap with their name on it.

- Please DO NOT attempt to talk to the coaches directly today. There is enough going on, if you need something, please find Mandy or Shaq, both will be there.

- If your child is 5 years old or younger, they cannot participate in the main team practice until they have had a chance to swim with Coach Dylan. We can start arranging those later this week. Please see Mandy or Shaq to help coordinate with Coach Dylan.  

-Please go to Swimtopia and declare you eligibility for ALL swim meets.  This can of course be changed later should your child’s schedule change, but this is one of the most important things that you as a parent can help us with.  We do not enjoy reaching out to families each week to find out if your child is available or not.  We really appreciate your help with this.  Again - should you need help, please find a team rep for assistance.

-Please sign up for Volunteer spots.  We think everything is open for sign up.  This is a volunteer led organization so we need everyone’s help!  Thank you to those who have already signed up!
