A-Meet Results + Merch + Team Pic + Other Team Announcements

Hello Rapids! There is a lot in this update, so please take the time to read through. It covers today's A meet, team pictures, upcoming meets, laser tag, and other items.
- Everybody swam great! We came up a little short, losing 225 to 195.
- We were tied going into relays but came up just a bit short.
- Meet results are attached.
- We had 31 best times—best times list is also attached.
- Special kudos to Lucas Bermudez, Benjamin Bertin, Colton Maender, Henry Ohlhorst, Sutton Pierson, and Layla Sacks for winning both of their individual events!
- The updated Rapids Ladder is also attached.
- A-Meets are competitive meets against other teams held on Saturdays. While the most important aspects of the Rapids swim teams are team building, fun and improvement, we also want to win our meets!
- Parents must set swimmer availability in Swimtopia by Tuesday EOD so coaches can finalize the lineup.
- If availability changes, please contact an A-Meet Rep (Mandy or Noelle) ASAP.
- Last-minute changes must follow NVSL rules and could impact the team competitively.
- Remember, you and your swimmers are part of a team. We all count on each other to put the best team we can in the water.
- Relay Carnival will take place Wednesday, July 2nd at our home pool.
- Declare swimmer availability NOW in Swimtopia.

- Location: 1515 Bryan Branch Road, McLean, VA
- Arrival: 5:00 PM
- Warm-Up: 5:25 PM
- Meet Start: 6:00 PM
- Note: No parents allowed in the team area (Highlands rule).
- IM is limited to 9/10 swimmers and above—no 8-unders for this meet, please.
- Declare strokes by 8:00 PM Sunday, June 22nd.
- Volunteers are needed—please sign up!
- Arrive between 7:45–8:00 AM
- Wear your Rapids team suit if you have one.
- Minis are encouraged to participate—they’re an important part of the team!
- Picture should be done by 8:30 AM, and practice will resume after.
- All merchandise (hoodies, PJ pants, hats, shirts, etc.) has arrived.
- If you haven’t received your Rapids team shirt (included with registration), please pick it up.
- This includes Mini Rapids! If your Mini doesn't have a team shirt, please grab one.
