Hello Rapid Families!  

A lot going on as we race to the conclusion of the season.  Please see updates below about the FINAL A-MEET on Saturday.  We're looking to close out the season with a bang! Also reminders about the Pot Luck on Friday, Intra-Squad meet on Monday, and Banquet next week. 

NVSL A-Meet vs. Poplar Tree

• Available swimmers list is at the bottom of this email.
• If your swimmer is selected to swim, the Rapids are counting on them to participate.
• Final participants will be sent later today.
• Heat sheets and events will be shared either tomorrow night or Friday morning.
• We still need volunteers for the meet:
  • 2 – Clerk of Course
  • 4 – Concessions
  • 1 – Data Table Helper
  • 1 – Marshal
  • 1 – Runner

Pot Luck & Pep Rally!

• The last Pot Luck is this Friday!
  • 5:45: Team Engagement and Parent Socializing
  • 6:15: Buffet Opens
• Please bring the following based on your last name:
  • A - I: Desert
  • J - O: Side Dish
  • P - Z: Main Course

Missing Shoes

• Two swimmers had identical shoes that were switched at the B-Meet on Monday.
• One swimmer has a smaller size; someone else has the larger pair.
• Picture attached for reference.
• If you have the bigger pair, please email [email protected] so we can arrange a swap.

End-of-Season Banquet

• RSVP in SwimTopia ASAP – we need a final count for food planning.
• 202 RSVPs are already in – please update your status whether attending or not.
• RSVPs will close Sunday, July 13th.

• For those new to the Rapids, at the end of the banquet, we have a slideshow to relive the season. It’s a highlight of the entire season. We want all swimmers highlighted! So we need your pictures!

• We’re looking for photos of everyone – swimmers, minis, meets, practices, socials, etc.
• July 4th parade and float building pictures would be a great addition!

Intra-Squad Meet – Monday Night!

• Over 50 volunteer positions are open – we need everyone to sign up.
• The meet will kick off with our MINI RAPIDS SWIM!
• The Minis have been working extremely hard and will open the meet with a swim. If your Mini is going to swim (and all of them should!) please RSVP your Mini Rapid by clicking the Mini-Swim in SwimTopia.
• More information will be sent to Mini families this week about what to expect.
• All swimmers and families should plan to be by the pool to cheer on our next generation of Rapids! 
• It’s always one of the best parts of the season!
