Hello Rapids!

Our final NVSL A-Meet is on Saturday! We also have our final Pot Luck/Pep Rally tomorrow night, IntraSquad Meet with Mini-Swim on Monday, and Banquet on July 19th right after Divisionals.

NVSL A-Meet vs. Poplar Tree

If your swimmer is in the meet, the Rapids are counting on them. This is going to be a close one, and our final meet of the season, so all families are encouraged to come and cheer on the Rapids!

Meet Theme: PIRATES! Yarrr, mateys!

Poplar Tree’s crew sails under the Pirate flag, and they’ll be dressin’ like true buccaneers. We’ll be joinin’ forces fer a grand team photo showin’ off all our pirate finery. 

If e’er there was a week to go full pirate, THIS be the one! So grab yer hats, eye patches, and parrots, and let’s make this meet a swashbucklin’ adventure! Arrr! 

The meet is at home.

• Arrival: 7:45
• Warm-ups: 8:00-8:20
• Meet Starts: 9:00

Fun Friday and Mini-Rapids Time Change

Tomorrow is our last Fun Friday of the season.

8 and Unders:

• 8:30–9:00 – In water
• 9:00–9:15 – Team meeting (whole team)
• 9:15–9:45 – Activity on Green Beach
• 9:45–10:15 – Pancakes

9 and Overs:

• 9:00–9:15 – Team meeting (whole team)
• 9:15–9:45 – In water
• 9:45–10:15 – Activity (9–10s on Green Beach, 11 and Overs in water)
• 10:15–10:45 – Pancakes

Mini Practice tomorrow morning has been changed to 8:30am, and there is only one session. However, the Minis will be working with Ms. Elizabeth and practicing starts with the starter for their big swim on Monday!

Intra-Squad Meet – Monday Night!

Over 50 volunteer positions are open – we need everyone to sign up.

The meet will kick off with our MINI RAPIDS SWIM!

The Minis have been working extremely hard and will open the meet with a swim. If your Mini is going to swim (and all of them should!) please RSVP your Mini Rapid by clicking the Mini-Swim in SwimTopia.

More information will be sent to Mini families this week about what to expect.

All swimmers and families should plan to be by the pool to cheer on our next generation of Rapids!
